I've told you how I feel.
I've shown you how I felt.
You're the reason that I breathe,
the reason that I smile.
Could you love the way I do?
Appreciate the one I am?

I've tried to show you more,
but you were far too far away
to see what I could give.
I've sent you many letters,
piled high as mountain tops,
saying all I had to say…

I wanted to declare to you:
"I love you, always will."
But I've heard your people say
you are no longer alive,
and I believe that it is true.
I've tried to see your grave.

I stand and stare at photos,
it always ends in tears.
You're nowhere to be found.
I know I'll never see you again
and my heart is always aching.
My dreams have disappeared.
