Ode To My Landlord Poem by Katz Haus

Ode To My Landlord

Dan, Dan, the Fix-it Man
Drives an old white Astro van
Services broken machines
Paints in nothing but his jeans!
Dan used to run a massage school
(I think that is very cool
But makes me ponder sneakily
If he’d ever massage me)
Tired of wearing shirt and tie
He bid his massage school good bye
And now he wears a different hat
And works at that and this (and THAT!)
And one hat is to take the rent
(So that’s where all my money went!)
(That’s really just a little joke
Sort of like a Facebook poke)
Dan smiles with eyes of startling blue
As he downs a cold Yoo-hoo
And asks me how my day has been
And puts away a laundry bin
And now I have a wicked crush
But that don’t matter (well, not much)
Because the time is really wrong
And so I sing my bluesy song.
