Oh, The Beauty In Your Eyes Poem by David Thomas

Oh, The Beauty In Your Eyes

Rating: 5.0

i miss all of those times
when your eyes met mine
from any distance
anywhere,
you brought the sun in close
closer than i have ever held anything
before
and you taught me through love
that everything falls into place
like puzzles pieces (on the grave) ,
we had our share of fights and quarrels
and by the end of our story
we haven't talked in months
and sooner or later you'll move on,
i fear you shall forget all of me
and at the same time i hope,
oh i hope indeed
that should you be happier having
lost me and all our memories,
then please flea into amnesia and never remember
my face, my eyes, my soul
or my love for you.
If that is what it takes
then by God may you be happy at last.
