Let's grub up weapon plants
to grow olive grove
as habitat of human doves
in our mine infested mind
and re-set the terms of seeing
for our power to see
is a straight rod bent in a pool.
now the sky spread open
as an umbrella of peace
whence drizzles no more
nuclear fall out
to frost our earth garden
into a refuse of human remnant.
when the guns' cough is over
then we all live with one another
meaning something to each other.
peace and war together cannot grow.
war must be uprooted if peace blossoms..
no hands must paw over it.
I liked it.....Great job....Best of luck for more of your works....
This is such a beautiful poem Sir. You really know how to organize words to make them look evocative and interesting.
This is our only hope - -a baby born to a dead mother on the battle field indicates life is still far from death.
Sir, I'm stricken with megalomania when with a man who leaps through oceans for me. So, here I am a-straddle between two universes ready for aerial dogfights to colonise space or whatever. Love conquers all. :)
Perhaps every world leader ought to plant one olive tree each year. A great verse, Yoonoos.

Dazzling, fantastic, imaging poem, concerning the boundaries and conflicts about love.
peace and war together cannot grow. war must be uprooted if peace blossoms.. no hands must paw over it.....yes two can not cohabit
Beautiful stanzas highlighting the need for peace to save us from ourselves. Perhaps the fatalistic tendencies of humanity does not give pause in his/her path to destruction. Although we all must die, is it not nobler to strive to leave something better behind. A peaceful olive grove is what we all need, to sit in, share and reflect.
