ORGAN
its deep voices the ground does shake
yet colored windows do not break
hymns and psalms engulfed in Gothic lakes
OPPORTUNITY
come one, come many then
we can open the door when
to all others we shout Amen
NEIGHBOR
not there for very long
before we say so long
where, alas, do we belong?
These three poems I wrote after reading some by Symphosius who is known for his Latin riddles. Not much is known about him. He may have lived in the 4th or 5th CE.
