Our life on Earth is a God given boon
It should be skillfully set to tune
Both beauty and charm it should enclose
And should smell fragrant like a red, red rose
If life be made a saga of commitment and love
That by sacrifice now and then made anew
In colors cascading like the welkin's bow
It will bloom radiant in unusual glow
Know, life is a dispenser of joy and grief
Both we have to accept as they shift brief
In gloom, hope there is a better day in wait
Too much of anything can our soul sedate
To idle away, we have hardly any time
Do what one can in life's best prime
Keep away from the grip of spite and hate
And live life for love and love's delight
To idle away, we have hardly any time Do what one can in life's best prime Keep away from the grip of spite and hate And live life for love and love's delight A beautiful poem on love....................10
Another good addition to the messages for life on the earth..........................10
T he poem is smooth and flowing with music imparting a loud great message of love. Enjoyed it thoroughly, Valsa!
Life is a blessing which gives us so much joy and hope, beauty and charm, love and friendship, though sometimes with a tinge of gloom and sorrow. Following lines are very close to the reality of life which should be devoted to care and compassion for all mankind: Know, life is a dispenser of joy and grief Keep away from the grip of spite and hate.
Know, life is a dispenser of joy and grief Both we have to accept as they shift brief In gloom, hope there is a better day in wait Too much of anything can our soul sedate.......loved these lines. Most meaningful. Brilliant expression. Visited time and again.
Really our lives on Earth are the boons of God. We enjoy our lives here with happiness and gloom, love and hatred. You have rightly said that life is a dispenser of joy and grief. A brilliant poem on Life has been astutely delineated by you. Thank you dear madam.
A good message to make the best use of life through a beautiful poem.
4 - ok, the poem does give some responsibility for individuals to work on having good lives, not always expecting great (or even good) days. bri :) line 5: i'm glad the poet did NOT push for a rhyming end word line 6: i suggest " ..sacrifice is now..." line 11: i suggest " in store" , not " in wait"
3- " welkin's bow" ? i had to Google search. i think it may refer to a rainbow. " welkin" : " In older cosmology this was thought to be one of a set of real crystal spheres that enclosed the Earth" [i bet Valsa has read Shakespeare and other OLD writers' stuff] the “sphere”, I think, may be called a “bowl” also.
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
Live life for love and love's delight Life is a complex thing and you have simplified it to be easily understood. A great poem full of beautifully chosen encouraging words. Thank you.
