Over The Rainbow Poem by Melvina Germain

Over The Rainbow

Rating: 5.0

Over the rainbow,
a kaleidoscope of colors mingle.
Reflecting the morning sun.
Birds fly among it’s hues,
while raindrops dance the ballet
of spring, a minuet, till day is done.

Over the rainbow,
the sound of harpsichords play.
Embracing the radiance of angels
flying through each brilliant display.
A ray of sunshine takes precedence
as it points it’s glowing finger to the ground.
Voices resonate, through iridescent view,
showering songs of beauty all around.

Over the rainbow,
the silhouette of Jesus appears.
Escorted by angels hovering over him,
he flows through the air.
His arms extended as he gestures with his hand.
Come to me my children, come, yes you can.

An absolutely Stunning piece of poetry! It is even better when you read it yourself, I got even more out of it because I could ponder the words and dream...Your choice of words and imagery are just so Beautiful, so much so that during stressful times I believe a person could find peace in your vision of what it is like over the rainbow. I thank you so much for writing another ten out of 10...piece based on many factors! Some other ones include, title and just how easily you held my interest from beginning to end.I especially love your last verse because of the peaceful thoughts I envision because of it... Brilliant well written piece.............. =Shelley=
