When this day comes
I thank you
To walk free
Peaceful shall I sleep
To cut those ties
Finally
Too many bridges burned
Fragments of me lost
Burnouts, scar my mind
Simply to walk free
What a feeling
Free
Like a bird in the wind
A leaf fallen gently from a tree
The sun in my hair
For No longer bound
Soon to be no care
To have been bound
Unknowingly
The mind
So long clouded
The hands tied
Soon to be cut free
Free
To walk the open road
Blinded for so long
But now I see
I shall be...
Truly free
Resurrected I shall be
Peaceful...
Shall I Sleep.

Another well written, meaningful piece. The modern world has become so stressful for the vast majority. Materialism is the modern day religion. We should realise that the raw materials are finite and become more minimalistic. Easier said than done! Death does not bring peace, Lyn, just finality.
Truly said, we all March towards the final march of liffe
Yes, oneday we shall be free..... cut loose from all tethers of life! True liberation comes only then! Do you dread that day or do you really look in anticipation for it....... I wonder! A beautiful write Lyn!
Hi - Lyn, I loved this write. The true and ultimate sense of freedom fromm life's all pains and strife. Very nice.
