Perceptional Change Poem by Timothy Long

Perceptional Change

Free me of my curse,
I have destroyed myself so,
I'm not what I used to be,
my good memory has become hazy,
my good perception is now among the hidden,
I have to quit this parasite,
its either it or I has to go,
if not the case,
I will eventually die,
the fickle thing known as life force will grow sick,
my energy will complete and so my ideas and dreams,
it's not thing in one wishes on their enemy,
not only does the sickness grow,
not only destroy your body and mind also,
no,
the worst of all,
is the killing of your motivation and dreams,
I need to change,
I need to grow,
if I don't do not,
who will?
If not here,
when and where?

No amount of wise cracks or snap backs can help me heal,
the sadness and emptiness I feel,
what was once nightmares has become quite real,
in the end,
everything was supposed to be ok,
everything is supposed to be fine,
in the end,
the discipline of life was never mind.

Some time has passed,
my mind is clearer now,
but one thing only remains,
is that emptiness that everyone complains.
If you want a laugh,
go ahead and see,
it's the life that is in front of me.
The frustration always comes,
the anger never lasts,
so in time I hope everything will pass.
So many regrets that can never happen,
too fast life is passing by,
it will drive you out of your mind.
The more you ache,
the more you know less,
and the more one can digress.
In other words,
my friends circle grows smaller as I age,
my life is a demur has become fearing before my life can be undone.

Have you thought about the nothingness that is coming?
Everything you once told is a lie,
it maybe upsetting,
I feel sorry for your suffering I do,
but look in your heart and you will see it is true.

Human beings are so vivid in the way they think,
they only choose the facts that appeal to their thinking,
and worst of all,
they look down on others and yet need to look up to others themselves.
In the end,
nobody knows what kind a person they are until they look up to others themselves.
In the end,
nobody knows what kind a person they are until they look into the eyes of death.
No matter how good and smart you are,
don't try to do everything yourself,
if you do you will become arrogant and greedy.
No matter who you are,
no matter what you have done,
perception is not everything,
and will always change as you age.

No matter how sad you are,
no matter what is going on,
just remember these last words,
and everything can be undone.
Drugs are harmful,
they are no fun,
cutting will destroy you,
just too much blood,
the noose may give,
hanging is worse,
the darkness will come,
the tears will flow,
acid will stain you,
takes too long to melt,
rivers will cause cramps,
drowning is a nuisance,
escalation is too much,
too many options,
too many things to do,
such little time,
get the help it is there for you,
there is so much left to do,
most of us will say you mind as well live,
in the end it's all up to you!
