Lonely the plight of new-written verses.
Solitary flight tires and wears out wingbeats.
To greet with silence starves all new birthing.
Shout then melodious applause as greeting.
Words fly vibrantly skywards like birds leaving.
They sing fluid notes with poetic care.
Warmth stays quietly close after reading.
Nourishing comments make known we were there.
It's hard sometimes to let them go is it not? Like saying goodbye to children at the school gate. And yet, the expectation of 'comments' can be quite tantalizing too, like reading their report card at the end of term. This is a poet's poem through and through. I'm sure we all identify with the author and admire the craft used to express what we all know so well. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Yes, nourishment is so important for our poems to grow and thrive. These poems of ours come from our hearts as does this poem of yours. Beautiful thoughts Fay....10 love Karin
This is wonderful Fay, and one that I should take heed of, I do have a habit of reading and voting if I like it and sometimes NOT commenting-lol, a habit I'm slowly breaking...beautiful poem about poems and the satisfaction shared from them...10
