Power of Good Thoughts

The strength of the body
is reduced
with the diseases
hidden in the body.

The strength of the mind
is reduced
with the senses
of desire, fear, lust,
anger and jealousy
hidden in the mind.

One must delve deep down
and exterminate
such untoward thoughts
lingering therein.

The real truth
will then be realized.
Mind can then reach
to the things and lives
of the world outside.

Our thoughts then
devolve on others’ hearts
and abide there.

As per our thoughts- -
the world outside appears to us!

Good and pure thoughts
kind and virtuous thoughts
restitute all the goodness
In the world!

So much truth and wisdom expressed here - positive thinking adds to the happiness of the world, whilst negative thoughts detract from it. Well said and well written Chandra. (Report) Reply

As the mind rules over the frame, let the thoughts win over the deeds for a while...
The power of good thoughts has to be distinguished by one and all. As usual, your poem works like a medicine for the fatigue of these times... Thanks for sharing this thought. (Report) Reply

Four little letters unto each;

Two more so tenderly complete:
