Prayer Bear

I am a prayer bear and this is what I do
I help give God’s love especially to you
If you need a small hug or a great big embrace
I’ll always be here to put a smile on your face
The Methodist Women and Faith Circle too
Have prayed over these bears with a love that is true
In your time of sadness, turmoil or stress
This bear shares the love that we want to express
So when you need a reminder of God’s great love
Hold tight to your bear and feel the love from above.

This poem was written for the North Shore United Methodist Church to give to its patrons in need of prayers.

One should be careful of making the bear into an idol or God. Putting it in the worship domain. (Report) Reply
