Prisoner Of Poems

Man in my life
Is a prisoner of a poem
Or rather a song;
He rarely exceeds the limit,
I begin him with a soft song,
And end him with a sad one,
In between there are
Dozens.

The first songs begin
With ‘ I Have a Dream’,
And ‘Why is my heart
So Light’,
The last ones end
With ‘Goodbye my Love Goodbye’,
And ‘ I Will Survive’.

So helpless feel I;
Crushed between hope and despair,
My PAIN would glow,
As his self-centeredness, deception,
Crude and Cruel words and action
PREVAIL,
They win the battle
Against sincere emotion,
Honesty and devotion,
Evil conquers all.

So with an awe
For my fate and destiny,
I yield to God’s law.
Thus the memory
Of my Imagery prisoner
Fades away,
Just like late Spring hay,
Yet the song remains,
As Light or Star,
On my wet paper,
Together with reminiscence
And glittering tears
On my wet cheeks
AND
I am left wondering
Why? !

What a fascinating write! However, evil may conquer all but Goodness Triumphs in the end! Love this poem!
