How can we live our life here so quietly
If success and failure,
And ups and downs are the toys of life,
To play with us everytime?
Who then knows life's absolute extent?
Who will count the heap of its stars?
Who can then fix a limit in its infinity?
When the reality of our life lies,
In between the pearls of birth and death.
'Heap of stars.' I like this metaphor, it's very philosophical. Beautiful writing, definitely one of my favourites of yours.
It makes you question if the answer you were given are correct or not about what reality is?
An interesting piece piece; I loved the concept of this poem, especially the open and closing lines; wonderfully written. -Joe Breunig author/poet, Reaching Towards His Unbounded Glory PS Since you're asking two questions, I would suggest that you add question marks after the following lines: Who can count the heap of its stars? Who can fix a limit in its infinity?
amazing poem 'But the reality of our life still lies, In between the pearls of birth and death.' This is my favorite line simply beautiful :)
This is a poem with such deep understanding about the life fulfillment and hope within human. The poet is giving the solid narration about the truth of everybody's journey... life is a possibility of everything. Excellent poem....! ! ! !
'Who can fix a limit in its infinity..' You know, if someone really has poetry in their soul, beautiful and soulful lines will just come out, seemingly without effort- like this one. :)
