Redefine Me Poem by Asma Khan

Redefine Me

I have become a question for you
with no answer to
between the rights and wrongs
like the dos and don'ts

I have become a sprain on you
with no rest to
between the deep sleep and dreams
like the sighs and sobs

I have become a shadow for you
with no directions to
between the chances taken and not taken
like the ends and dead ends

I have become a thought for you
with no imagination to
between the memories and consciousness
like words spoken and not spoken

I have become an option for you
with no choice to
between the wanted and unwanted
like the desires and defeated fate

I have become a pain for myself
with no cure to
between the prevention and caution
like the teats and flamed heart
