Refugees Poem by sultan mahmud

Refugees

Rating: 5.0

I am a refugee
I have no state
I am a stateless citizen in God's world.
I'm not human, just a refugee
The definition of humanity is not for me
Wild animals also have certain rights
Insects and spiders also have permanent habitats
Hyena wolves also have habitat
I don't have that
Human rights are silent in front of me
Political science seeks new definitions of me
The intellectuals suffer in ignorance with me
Humanist shame covers the face of the world!
I don't have talent
Does not have its own entity
There are no fundamental rights
My footprint has no validity.
I am a refugee
Detention camp in my own country waiting for me
His borders cut to another country
Or the accused of returning to the cage of wild law.
I am a refugee
My tears do not storm the heart of any lover
There are no roses in my garden
I'm one of the unwanted
I am a stranger
My hungry eyes will not wake anyone up
No one on a depressing afternoon
My rotten body will be in dustbin later
A few dogs will stand beside him like dry hungry ones
The camera flash will light up suddenly
Then I was on the cover of the New York Times
The picture that will get the award for the best photographer in the world!

Really a poignant piece of poetry set aside for deep reflective thought.. Focused and factual.
