Remembering The Sand Poem by Andrew Bell

Remembering The Sand

Rating: 5.0

There's still sand peppered through my bed
And that scene running through my head
Of two lovers locked in sweet embrace
From beach towels to bed sheets
I remember running through the streets
And that look on your gorgeous face
We made it to the front door
And left the keys in the door
Because we weren't wasting any time
You and me was ecstasy
And me and you was a dream come true
We both knew I was yours
And you were mine
How easy it falls down
So blind but I see now
It hit me in the face
One minute I'm her man
The next she can't even stand
To look me in the eye
So she said goodbye
So the sand falls to the floor
The winds blows it through my door
And your smell starts to fade
I'm sorry for the mistakes I made.

There's still sand peppered through my bed And that scene running through my head...The sweet embrace made in sand is still remembered and the perceptional imagery is painted with colour of each word. This poem is excellently penned..10
