Remembrance Day Poem by John Carter Brown

Remembrance Day

Rating: 5.0

Remembrance Day morning on Radio 2
November eleventh request:
Two minutes of silence again, if you please
For the fallen, and don't you protest!

Fair enough, then over the airwaves, the sound of
Big Ben, bing-bonging like hell,
'I thought you said silence my radio friend,
So can someone please silence that bell? '

Oh, cover your ears and let the bell ring, lest ye be considered a grouch! I loved it, great poem!
