Resurrection's Requiem Poem by Blakeney-rose Berry

Resurrection's Requiem

As I lament and cry of our love that was lost long ago,
I doth protest your tragic end, I pray they may not know.
With haunting memories so vivid red, painful and clear.
I lament alone in solitude, guilt and shed silent tears.

Life and love that I took from you that now is long lost,
A true love that must return to me no matter the cost.
The pieces I will put together until you are whole again,
Defying the heavens above to bring life from the dead.

As I wait by your resting place for wretched the day to end,
I'll bring you home and put you together, the wrong I'll amend.
From her death, she rose to life, eyes aflame with vengeful dread,
By her hand, I met my fate, in silent night our roles had flipped instead.
