It is sad to think that a friend is a racist
It is hard to fathom that a teacher
Is a wolf, a liar, a backstabber, a narcissist
Never judge a book by its cover.
It's hard to believe that a buddy is a fascist
It's sad to imagine that a friendly co-worker
Is a fake, a double face, a schmuck, a backstabber
Someone who wants to poison your benign cyst.
Never take anybody for granted
Stay away from the disenchanted
The disgruntled dude of the year.
Be mindful of the smiling Manitou
And of the conniving rhino who never err
They can without notice come after you.

The poem says much about the unpredictability of human nature. Even the one closest to you may turn out to be a farce or unreal. Nicely articulated and presented. Thanks.
