Saint Patrick's Smallest Celebration Poem by Hebert Logerie

Saint Patrick's Smallest Celebration

Rating: 5.0

This year, COVID-19 messed up everything
This past Sunday, there was no holy mass
The parishioners stayed at home, that was a mess
Saint Patrick's Day is almost like a small thing
In a distant past: no big party, no guys and gals
Going crazy, no buzz, no booze, no beer, no ale
Coronavirus is freaking sick and mortal, pals
A small parade on Fifth Avenue quiet and pale
When compared in the past. What's going on?
I am nervous and confused, but I must move on
We all got to move on to defy gravity and this disease
We still have to celebrate in our heart and to be at ease
We are at war against this bloody virus, war is never nice
And friendly and coronavirus cannot be killed as lice
We must keep on pounding it until we get rid of this devil
This pandemic is deadly. This virus has no vibe and no soul.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

I'm celebrating at home..Covid-19 also ruined Chinese New Year and will ruin gettogethers and events for Easter and Passover..If you can't make it to church services you can still read the Bible and pray..Good poem a ten from me..Happy St.Patrick's Day!
