Welcome to my house
It's a simple, simple place
I've got a lot of thoughts
So read them on my face
Discover what you hide
If you've got secrets then
By God, we'll forgive you
Discover what's inside
If you've got nothing then
The lies won't deceive you
It's the end of the world
And I can't help but wonder now
With all the noise filling up my ear
Do you think it's safer in my house?
But there's a garden outside
If you've got flowers then
You better feed them all
But there's an omen of fright
If you've got excuses then
You'll never leave at all
It's the end of the world
And we're hanging upside down
With all the troubles we must fear
Do you think it's safer on the ground?
But there's the loneliness I find
If you know the feeling then
Heavier breathing is your sign
And there's a hatred in my mind
If you know the anger then
Living is out of line
It's the end of the world
And I can't help but wonder now
With all the guilt that's seldom clear
Is it still so much safer in my house?
