School Poem by Noelle Mott

School

Rating: 3.5

A place you use a pencil to illustrate every line and word you make
Doodling if the teacher is boring you... a yawn you make during class
A heart is drawn around someone you like a lot, but they don't know
Reading a book about someone in history is interesting
2+2=4, but 4*4=16 why do we learn so many equations?
The clock ticks by in each class you attend,
Looking at the clock to see when class will finally end
Rodeo break is starting tomorrow and that means sleeping in until noon
Four days away from school, how excited I am to not have homework
But still I wait until the time is right, when school gets out and I can hangout with my friends the whole break, sleeping over and pillow fights happening
Imagining how much fun it will be to hangout with friends and not worry about what assignment I need to complete and turn in on time.
Three more hours and I will be able to run and place and lie down.
