Selfish Wants Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Selfish Wants

Attempting to relax and sooth inner nature,
recharge my batteries like I used to when our
boys were growing up.

Yet, foreign elements are crowding my space,
taking my possessions as if they're entitled
to them.

Annoying, selfish moochers, thinking only of
their wants and expectations.

Disregarding human common decency in place of
their whims and egotistical desires.
