Shakespeare's Ditto Poem by George BernardBloodyShaw

Shakespeare's Ditto

Did Shakespeare do
ditto?
I don't know.
Was his work his own
to own?
I've heard a seed sown
that he wasn't alone,
another man was prone
to write
but, p'raps in spite
at Shakespeare's height
all he did
was steal words
from another man,
a common man,
to make Shakespeare
appear
to be the man.

Shakespeare was semi Illiterate by top grade writing standards although he was creative..He gave his ill prepared manuscripts to a guy called Philip Marlow, an educated man, also a poet, writer, and literary agent who owned a publishing house and school of editors. They worked up his work to marketable standard although Shakespeare paid hm a percentage of the royalty when they were published or box office take the play had a run.As time wore on Shakespeare distributed his own work after Marlow was killed in a pub brawl over a Harlot.. Hope this clarifies, Sid. Sid

Yes, I've recently heard it said that some of Shakespeare's works may have actually been written by another! Tell me more. This is interesting, GBBS. Fran xxx
