Shameful Arrogance Poem by mohammad ahmadizadeh

Shameful Arrogance

I traveled abroad a long time ago
It was for business so I went as a doe
leaving my wife and children at home
I have to admit that I liked it you know

I brought gifts for everyone in return
appeasing their yearning and burn
little girl jumped to grab sequined dress
menace boy with toy gun pursued happiness

I have bought for my wife a nice pants
getting sad as she saw tall legs two spans
then she began to repair it but very slowly
I seized tape measure and scissors from her hands

I cut trouser legs fast pluming myself on
proving her in tailoring I am number one
she laughed when she wore repaired pants
I confused about legs one up other down

I have cut a leg twice with boast and cold
other has been left as long as the old
one was in the knee for laughing my wife
other on the ground creeping my fault
