Significant Rain Poem by Brenda Cure

Significant Rain

Rating: 5.0

The radio says we have significant rain today,

Significant,

Wouldn't be something in the rain to decay?

A piece of wood,

A body of jay,

A silver medal from thousand thousand years away,

Or just… just a lost heart I encountered in May?

The radio says we have significant rain today,

Significant,

Shouldn't be something in the rain to relay?

A leaf on the tree,

A goose under hay,

A coded message to delivery,

Or just… just a tiny flame extinguished on the way?
