Singular Purpose Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Singular Purpose

Rhythms being picked up and then laid down upon
so many measures that tend to fill our lives with
all types and varieties of entertainment.

Watching as talent innately peeks about, wanting
to try out its voice, scared, but heart is wanting
to be out on the stage openly for the time being.

A singular purpose to be and feel like a singer for
just a little while in the future, finding this
voice has talent in music.
