Sleepless Nights Poem by its mee

I woke up shocked one night,
Thinking I had him in sight,
He said, “I’m here to take you with me”,
I said, “Yeah right, we’ll see.”

He took me by my arm,
And dragged me to the door,
I begged and pleaded,
Not now, not anymore.

He locked us up in a room,
I shouted, I howled,
But who would come and help me?
No one would, they vowed.

The whole world heard me screaming,
But no one stepped up for me,
Every night was the same story,
Every night it was me.
