Slimed By The Sleaze Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Slimed By The Sleaze

With blatant ignorance they defend.
Their own undermining from within.
And caught up in division.
A division without end.

Blinded by greed and the attention.
Materialism gives them.
And comparisons made.
Between themselves to fake.
Charade.
With a degrading loved.
Until their values fade to evaporate.
And distrust they do.
One another.
Brother, sister, father and mother.
All slimed by the sleaze.
They have worshipped to leave them pleased.
And their quality of life leaves.
Along with their unconscious empty minds.
They have allowed to sell.
To be controlled by their own demons.
