Slowly Feeling The Drown Poem by Christal Carpenter

Slowly Feeling The Drown

Our hearts where born abused
Our souls became confused
We didn't know of love
We thought we had enough

The rain came pouring down
We thought our frowns would drown
We don't have time to cry
So it filled up the sky

Beneath the silken sheets
Our body's called defeat
We held our hands up high
Screamed out to the sky

There must me be more to life
Something more then filled with strife
We put the peddle down
Drive around to kill the sound

Our tears came pouring down
From the sky filled all around
The water fills us up
We finally had enough

But still we swim around
Try so hard not to drown
This isn't what life should be
Smiles are to hard to see

But still the rain pours down
And still we try not to drown
And still we cover our frowns
And still we refuse to dive down

Beaten hearts float up so well
Floating up so you can't tell
We are slowly falling down
Slowly feeling the drown

We are slowly feeling the drown

We are slowly feeling the drown
