Sol Invictus Poem by Patti Masterman

Sol Invictus

Invincible sun:
Burn me
Spurn me
But keep within my sights
Don't abandon me to night.

Invisible dream:
Beholden me
Embolden me
The strength of which unveil
The temper of my will.

Incomprehensible
The history
Unfathomable
The mystery
Womb which gave us birth
From fertile, virgin Earth.
