Some Emotions Poem by Rajesh Thankappan

Some Emotions

Rating: 5.0

Happiness dances in with fanfare but swiftly tiptoes away
Sadness seems to drop anchor with the sole intention to stay
Pleasure is like an instant ‘Coco Cola’ or a ‘Thumps Up’
While pain is a bitter pill that we are forced to pop up.

Anger is like an apparition that manifests unexpectedly to haunt
Trust is a friend with whom we would like to forge a closer bond
Love is a sweet craving that we would like to time and again experience
While hate is a like an elephant gone rogue and behaves with impudence.

Fear is a thief who tries to steal confidence and courage
Disgust is like an undigested thing that we throw up as something base
Surprise is a thing that always has a trick or two up her sleeves
Anticipation is like going on a date with dreams that we fondly weave.
