Something Feels Right Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

Something Feels Right

What would sight be to the blind
what would a home mean to the homeless
what would a parent mean to an orphan
what would comfort mean to the grieving mind

how your hand would feel so soft in mine, for all time

What would an ocean be to sand
what would a stage be to an actor
what would a note be to a tune
what would a finger be to a hand

how warm and secure we might feel in each other's embrace

What would a dog be to a bone
what would a star be to the sky
what would the sun be to a rainbow
what would sugar be to a fly

I feel destiny pulling us together, don't know why
I hope we never say goodbye
and treat each other kind
you, longingly on my heart and mind
