Standing At Serving Line Poem by Manonton Dalan

Standing At Serving Line

when greens are prepared for feast
looking colorful and very fresh
it creates that feeling of hunger
an urge to put between your teeth
to feel tasty squirt on your gums
i have that experience last night

i could see their eyes and capture
inside magic box for them to remember
some paused for moment to hide most
of what they gathered from tables
i said 'smile, you're so lovely'
some say thanks; some just walk away
