Stay Poem by Rachel Henley

Stay

Rating: 5.0

I am a lonely creature,
I must leave to be me,
you may not understand,
but you always stay.

I need to soar on my own,
to be what I need to be for a while,
you cannot fly with me,
but you always stay.

I become drunk on the curb,
I hate myself for what I am,
you cannot change what I do,
but you always stay.

I let you down,
hurt you without any need,
but I feel I belong to you,
but you should not stay.
