Stay (Don'T Commit Suicide Rajpath) Poem by sharon catley

Stay (Don'T Commit Suicide Rajpath)

Life's ephemeral as it is
No need to hurry fast toward it's end
Stay with me and watch the sunset
We'll never have this day again

Soon enough we'll dwell in the forever
Welcomed home by those who've passed before
So let us dawdle long upon life's journey
Gather memories, live out hopes, our dreams and more.

Ask a dying person why you should live
They'll give you all the reasons you should stay
Maybe no one knows your hopelessness
Make sure you tell them in some way

For sure someone's heart it will be broken
Someone will say "If I only I had known".
It's not too late to right what haunts you
It's not too late to fix what's wrong.

What if we only get this one chance?
What if it's just one time around?
There must be something left you want to do
A reason to stay could be found.

Won't you miss the dew kissed mornings?
Won't you miss the star filled nights?
So much yet to fill your vision here
Life could work out - it could be right.

Who would miss your arm's around them?
Who would miss your gentle kiss?
Stay and make their lives worth living
Stay and see life could be bliss

Happiness might be around the corner
Luck might be heading out your way
It's always darkest just before the dawn
Please think it over and then stay
