Autumn is a slow
Decaying death
Winter burdens you
With its gloom
Spring bursts forth
With fresh renewal
Summer gives birth
To hope and bright blooms
Recycling and repeating
Taking from and then
Completing
Nature opens up for the sun
To breathe life through
But to me, there's nothing like
A Summer Moon
Some days last too long
While others are only
Fleeting
Somewhere in between the two
Is where time is without
Meaning
Lazy limbs and happy hearts
A secret joy that's world's
Apart
From the even monotony
And subtle despair
Of the cold and frost
Of winter's air
Soothing warmth
That blankets you
Like a Mother's womb,
A warm caccoon
People smiling just because
The earth is kind
We feel a nudge
Toward peace of mind
And unbaised love
The sky above remains
Robin's-egg blue
Settling your soul
Until you feel brand new
Abundant and energized
The universal connection
Rings so true
Yet still to me,
There's nothing like
A Summer Moon
Beautiful write on nature. I enjoyed reading your wonderful poem
Summer, my favorite time... warm sunshine enveloped my skin, bronzing, smoldering fires within. Then, there's the warm summer nights, stars outlasting time within their twilight. Summer's Moon smiles down upon my face, Memories forever captured in my heart... In this summer place. Great Write Erika, you see... your words in their beauty, inspired me.; -) -Kelly.
