Spreading red sunsets assault naked eyes.
Carving raw seams into gashing lines
They cut deep bleeding swathes through dusky skies
While forecasting weather as fine
Colour bewitches, enriches our lives
Flooding us joy in every sense.
Richness abounds and nowhere more vibrant
Than light, the effect is immense.
Sky drenched in sunglow reflects into skin,
Stimulates, eases, smoothes out stress.
Psyche is altered when sunlight seeps in.
Souls, red-enfolded worry less.
Orange bears health and gold harnesses strength
From the final rays of the sun.
Submerging self in these defences
Sunset works magic when twilght's begun.
You have painted a beautiful picture of sunset with words Fay...10+++
I don't think that there are many of us who wouldn't delight in a beautiful sunset. Your poetry brings it to life. You don't get many beautiful sunsets in the lovely county of Merseyside. Someone would probably pinch them. Best Steve
Fay, I love sunrises and sunsets and yours are full of beauty, which makes me full of love for what I've read. Love Bobx 10++
Twilight! the half light of day , those long summer nights oh! how we would play coming home dirty, tired little boys from out of the medows i remember the joys no twilight here in the antipodes! i miss it
Your sunset poem is warming to the soul. The room in which I write is flooded by the western light in the evenings and I am always mesmerized by it. I believe we are kindred spirits. Love, SandraX
