There is something twice as sweet as sugar.
It's my honey and she's a good cooker.
But now I must tell you a nice surprise,
this honey comes from a native beehive.
Yes it's true; you need only half as much
to sweeten your cereal or your punch.
Honey is something you can store away
until you need it on a needful day.
If you think it will not keep, have no fears,
it has been found good after ninety years!
If you have honey that is crystallized,
put it where it's hot, you are so advised.
On slice of toast you need only a smidge.
I keep my honey on top of the fridge.
If yours crystallizes, don't put in sink,
It has healthy stuff like dextrin and zinc.
Instead spoon some into your barley soup
and from cold and sore throat you may recoup.
Honey is good for most people, but pediatricians suggest not giving it to children until they are a year old. Sweet poem!
The couplets are sweeter than sugar. Enjoyed reading. Thanks for sharing.

I noticed the other day that I could buy a starter beehive kit at my local Cal-Ranch store, but I don't think I'm ready to get started into bee farming!
The question you have to ask yourself is: To bee or not to bee.
