Taken Too Much For Granted Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Taken Too Much For Granted

An opportunity to say hello,
Comes when it should be done!
And that chance to do it from you goes.
To freeze from a thaw another one chose.

And when your fortunes slows to none...
Who knows when another blessing comes?
And no one is around to care.
Or propose may come from anywhere.

Leaving you much aware...
Of a life that should be shared,
But taken too much for granted.
And a smile you wish to give,
Finds not a soul to witness it...
Or gives recognition you even exist!

Life is a blended mix,
Of misunderstandings!
