Into each of our lives a little tear must fall
This is a gift from God that is common to all
It cleanses the wounds of the troubled soul
When the burdens of life has taken its toll
If you have never had to shed a single tear
Then the beating heart will be hard to bear
The troubles of life brings on constant care
Remember theres a God who is always near
If problems have never entered into your life
That sears the heart and cuts like a knife
If you never had any tear drops to shed
Tears may fall in the days that lies ahead

Wonderful! I never thought about tears being a gift from God before, but what sense it makes! Thanks for this great poem!
I am so glad to read this beautiful poem of yours! I was refreshed by the thought that a teardrop 'cleanses the wounds of the troubled soul when the burdens of life has taken its toll' - so beautifully put in your poem! 'If you never had any tear drops to shed Tears may fall in the days that lies ahead' - so, it's our obligation that we thank God for not having to have shed tears and at the same time to be prepared to face sadness as it comes, may be with a drop of tears that would cleanse our troubled heart. The poem deserves 10/10.
So well said tears the release of sorrow...I have just been in a dogs home all these little sorrow eyes waiting for you to take them home with you...I felt tears without the drops nice read indeed...regards
A tear cleanses the wounds of the troubled soul. Beautifully delivered. Thank you.
A CLASSIC POEM ! When we shed tears- -as you say- - it cleanses the wounds and to remember there's a God who is always near- soothes our heart! Thanks, Patricia for your kind invite, else I'd have missed reading such beautiful poems.
