Thanksgiving is before us
And the table has been set
Friends and family will gather
And the prayers will be said
A turkey fresh from the oven
Along with a ham, pies and cakes
As we greet each other
With smiles hello's and handshakes
It is the time of year we celibrate
What our fourfathers have done
But seldom do we look back
Or even realize what was won
Thanksgiving is a special time
When we meet to have our feast
And to catch up on the good ol days
And poke fun to say the least
Thanksgiving is our holiday
That's been passed on through the years
So as we think of those indians and pilgrims
May we raise our glasses in cheers
