The Breath Of Lonesomeness Poem by Elora Costan

The Breath Of Lonesomeness

Rating: 4.1

She was in the midst of a lonesome moment,
When she remembers everything.
The glimpse of his face, his warm embrace,
They all haunt her now, after her, they chase.
She felt her tears all falling and flowing,
It was so unlikely of her, she was feeling,
Can't imagine the depth of their past feelings.
She remembers the sensation it brought
She asked, 'Why all of a sudden?
I thought I have them all forgotten! '
Memories. Moments. Feelings.
Heart. Hurt. Heavy.
The bitterness she felt since he was gone,
She'd been bringing this in her heart for so long.
And in her dark room she cried,
So hard that she let go all the hard feelings she hides.
The story of the broken left untold,
And her heart was also left in cold.
She looked at the mirror, all she can see,
Were the pictures of their bittersweet memories.
She looked at the mirror again,
I can tell she was too broken.
She was staring straight at me,
I think I know her now completely
Lonesomeness, I realize
Makes every dead memories come alive.

Excellent poem. The solitary women remember their sensational past but they are not able to feel the depth of it.
