The Chamber Of Eternity Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

The Chamber Of Eternity

Rating: 5.0

You clambered into
the chamber of my heart
and made your stay
eternal though we were off
four decades ago.

But your magic spell
beamed and zoomed it out.
Many brushed their lips
on its smooth surface
but couldn't plodded into it.

I try to remember
some fleeting images
in my ever changing mind.
Vague, risible faces I see;
but yours is crystal clear
as you are in my heart
evergreen and everlasting.

Do you see me in your dreams
leaping backward often
from your unconscious mind?
Even if I were not there
I wouldn't feel sorry
as you are someone's property.

But from my heart
you don't make a dart
for the exit even briefly,
as it will be plunging into dark.
