The Difference Between Age And Wisdom
Back when I was young:
Is God the ornery rascal
Who dailies with our dreams,
And gives us what we need,
Whatever it might seem.
And now that I am older:
I thank God every day
That in his wisdom vaunted,
He gave me what I needed-
And never what I wanted.
