The Ghastly Shadow Poem by Shelley Wynona Williams

The Ghastly Shadow

(Jaweed is pronounced Javed)

A black shadow form
above Jaweed's bed,
To possess and haunt
and fill him with dread.
To flatline his heart
and slash the skin,
Bleeding teardrops,
of torment in him
A poison burn
into the bloodstream,
His heart explode,
a banshee scream.
The ghastly torture
bludgeoned of breath,
A fire infernal to mark
Jaweed's death.
