The Incompetence Of A Near Sighted Incubus

The noisome breath of his unbridled hatred

wilts even the healthiest of Life's vines

as with his deeds of compounded madness

he unfurls upon us yet another barrage__

Behold his snakelike form and lack of spine

as he slithers in your unprotected door

leaving within his tracks the secreted slime

of half digested truths and lies__

Then with his sticky tongue he licks your chin

begging you to let him stay

for without your confused subsidies

he would be reduced to nothing more

than one more pile of excrement

with a long protuding tongue

Your imagery is outstanding. And of course, the metaphors:
'snakelike' is one that really stands out with no room for doubt as to its meaning. I have read this poem many times and enjoyed more with each read.

Thanks for submitting this, a rose among many thorns.

Interesting image conjured up by this piece of work, Ted. Love the imagery - reminds me of some of my old boyfriends! LOL! JK!
