Splinter of sunlight glisten off my eyes
From the dark I awaken and see all that belies
Illuminating the world in a differentlight
Feeding the mind to possabilities that might
As the day passes by in its orbital spin
Trying to fathom the depths of the day I begin
Ideas from my imaginationstart to reel
Germinating seeds of thought as away the layers peel
Understanding the patterns as they lay before me
Looking past what isnt there, I build the scene I see
Like a jigsaw with missing pieces I start to place
Intertwining hidden meanings as they interlace
The day progresses and the light begins to fade
This time is illusive and its debt needs to be paid
The puzzle unfinished trapped in time as it lays
A tendered new contract for another day betrays
I shant go back to finish this impossible task
My time is construed and trapped within my hidden mask
Life moves on in its intricate ways Im falling behind
So I fall back into the sea of confusion and doubt unkind
The night shadows consume the unlit corners and walls
Consigning an uneasy feeling within, away farmiliarity falls
Stealing away the comfort of sight in an unruley way
Without any regret, the sun left me here, the darkening day
What was bright and full of colour now forms shades of black
In my conscious I feel the pain and fears all coming back
The darkness comes, it reassures me again in tearful comfort
Like a barrage of uncertainty it pulls my minds walls taught
Into a slumber so deep and so dark I start to fall
The shadows are all around and take the world so tall
Sleep is a gift of recumberence I gratefully accept
And again I swim into my dreams of silent screams inept...
