The Poet Is Talking To You Poem by Hebert Logerie

The Poet Is Talking To You

The Poet is talking to you
The Poet tells you things
That no one dares to say
The Poet tells you words
That no one dares to repeat
That no one dares to think of
That no one dares to exteriorize
The poet has a different skin
The poet is a Sage
Who has a different language
The Poet talks to you about beauty
The sensational beauty of the roses
He is not afraid to curse
'Cause someone has to tell the truth
The Poet is talking to you
About Baudelaire, Charles
Maya, Dunbar, Langston
Marti, Pablo, Morrison
Catullus, Dany, Papillon
Vilaire, Léopold, Cicero
Césaire, Stephen, Fanon
The Poet says no, no
No fortune can purchase him
He is not for sale
He has the right to remain silent
If he wants to keep his mouth shut
Nobody can force him to speak
Death does not scare him
This man with a big heart
Fears nothing and nobody.

Ring the bells, ring the bell
The bells of freedom
To wake up the dead that are decayed
The Poet is talking to you.
